COBRA is a British drama series on Sky One that premiered in January 2020. The six part series is written by Ben Richards and stars Robert Carlyle and Victoria Hamilton. In February 2020, it was renewed for a second series.

Plot

When Europe is about to be hit by a solar flare, members of the British Government must put their differences aside and work together to restore power after outages lay much of Britain into the dark for a day or two. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s daughter shares her cocaine and fentanyl with college friends, one of whom dies, after which she initially lies and says the dead friend brought the drugs.
