Parampara

Parampara is a 1993 Indian Hindi romantic drama movie starring Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan, Sunil Dutt, Vinod Khanna, Ashwini Bhave, Ramya Krishna, Raveena Tandon, Neelam Kothari and Anupam Kher. The film is produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala and directed by Yash Chopra. Aditya Chopra wrote the screenplay for the film. The film was supposed to be Saif Ali Khan's debut however Aashiq Awara 1992 movie was his debut movie.The film was critically panned for its storyline, and music. However, critics praised the direction by Yash Chopra. It was a commercial failure. The movie was shot in the famous Indian boarding school, Mayo College. The movie was coincidentally same story as another movie Kshatriya (film) which was released before this movie. Both the movies were multistarers but failed to create business at the box office. Sunil Dutt, Vinod Khanna and Raveena Tandon were the only actors who featured in both the movies.

Plot

The wealthy Thakur Bhavani Singh (Sunil Dutt) lives in a remote region of India where he shares an intense rivalry with a local gypsy clan led by Gora Shankar (Anupam Kher). Parampara (tradition) dictates that differences are resolved with a single bullet pistol duel at the top of a hill. Years earlier, Bhavani Singh fought a duel against Gora Shankar's father and killed him.
