Pavitra Rishta (International title: Sacred Relationship) is a 2009 Indian soap opera produced by Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms, that aired on Zee TV from 1 June 2009 to 25 October 2014. It is an adaptation of Tamil television series Thirumathi Selvam.

Plot

Archana Karanjkar is a twenty six-year-old hard-working, homely girl who was able to study only till the eight standard due to her mother's ill health. Manav, a twenty one-year-old mere mechanic, falls for her. Manav's mother, Savita, lies to Archana's mother, Sulochana, that Manav is a mechanical engineer, so that Manav can marry Archana. Archana and Manav get married and her family learns that Manav is a mere mechanic.
