Mahajananiki Maradalu Pilla

Mahajananiki Maradalu Pilla is a 1990 Telugu-language comedy film, produced by M. Narasimha Rao under the Raasi Movie Creations banner, directed by Vallabhaneni Janardhan, with Vijaya Bapineedu in direction supervision. It stars Rajendra Prasad and Nirosha , with music composed by Upendra Kumar. The film was a remake of 1989 Kannada film Nanjundi Kalyana. Upendra Kumar, who had composed the songs for the original movie, retained all the six songs from the original.

Plot

Dr. Ram Murthy resides with his brother-in-law Narayana Rao's family with his wife Seeta and 3 daughters. Once Ram Murthy requires money for medicines for a patient in a serious condition and Narayana Rao refuses to give it and the patient dies. As a result, the family splits into two. After 20 years Narayana Rao tells his son Ravi the entire story and proceeds to reunite them by knitting Ram Murthy’s elder daughter Devi. So, he lands at his aunt's home as Kishtaiah his father's deceased sibling. Ram Murthy & his family believes it and welcomes him. Devi is a vainglory that detests nuptials because her other two sisters Lakshmi & Saraswathi marriage is continuously postponed with their love interests Hari Babu & Giri Babu. Even Devi's parents are fed up with convincing her to marry. Finally, when Kishtaiah is convinced that he is ready to marry Devi, her parents say that he should convince her himself. He does propose and performs stunts to convince her, in response, she sends fighters to hit him. When all her plans fail, she will be ready to marry him and leave him as her servant after marriage. All three sisters get married on the same day. After marriage, he takes to the village where he lives in their house-servant house. He acknowledges that he is only a servant in his parents' house and conveys he has cheated her and her parents in the name of Kishtaiah. In the end, when her parents come to the village, she will have been left all her old styles & arrogance and she wants to live in that small house with her husband. Finally, all of them know the truth that Kishtaiah is none other than their nephew Ravi.
