Avatar: Fire and Ash
Avatar: Fire and Ash is a 2025 American epic science fiction film directed by James Cameron, who co-wrote the screenplay withRick Jaffa and Amanda Silverfrom a story the trio wrote withJosh FriedmanandShane Salerno. Distributed by 20th Century Studios and produced by Lightstorm Entertainment, it is the sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) and the third installment in the Avatar franchise. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Kate Winslet reprise their roles from the previous films, while Oona Chaplin and David Thewlis join the cast.
Plot
After the climatic battle events in the Way of the Water(2022), Jake Sully and his family are grappling with grief over their first born son Neteyam's death during their battle with the RDA. Neytiri, in particular, has developed a hatred towards humans. Lo'ak feels that his brother's death is his fault due to not obeying Jake's orders. Jake also has grown weary of the events and the danger it poses to his family. They settle back into their lives within the Metkayina Clan. Spider, who requires a mask to breathe on Pandora, bonds well together with Kiri, while Tsireya offers support to Lo'ak who feels distant with his father unable to earn his trust.
