Plot

Over the course of the 20th century, environmental disasters caused the appearance of giant monsters and superhumans, dubbed "mutants", who are then recruited into the Earth Defense Force (EDF) to battle the monsters. During a battle in Antarctica with the original Gotengo, the king of the monsters Godzilla is imprisoned under the ice by a cave-in caused by a series of missiles fired off from Gotengo by Douglas Gordon.
